Marie (The Aristocats) Look

I thought I would do a blog post on my comic con look as well as the look video that goes up the same time as this on my YouTube channel. Just so I could chat about why and how I did it, as I don’t talk in the video.

So, imagine me sitting at my desk thinking about when the next comic con was going to be, wanting to dress up but not knowing what to do. I wanted something different, a character nobody normally goes for. Then it came to me, I’ve already spoke about how much I love Marie in the past. The sassiness of her but trying to be lady like with two annoying brothers. My first thought was Pinterest for ideas how to do it and then has anyone else done this on YouTube. I searched but nothing good came up on either so I got pictures up of her and studied them. I decided on a pink bow in the hair and something for my waist, and I needed white ears but with pink inside them. I did want them smaller but the only ones I could find were on eBay that kind of looked fox ears but I thought I’ll go with it and see what they are like when they arrive. I still think they are a little big but I’ll live with it. The hair bow and the belt bow are perfect so I’m pleased with them. I got some Mickey tights earlier before filming and well they seemed fitting. And I had the white small heels in my wardrobe anyway, so it all came together.

Then came the makeup, I had a play around one day and half liked it. But then I looked up cat make up tutorials on YouTube and from there came up with my own style, constantly looking at Marie’s picture. But also, I kept looking at my own cats faces, mainly while they slept (that’s quite creepy isn’t it). I couldn’t make me mind up if I wanted to paint my nose black or not, which I still don’t know if I want to do that on the day but for the video I left it.
